Marketing Donut is where it all began. The site was launched in April 2009, after a year of planning, writing and building with the help of marketing experts. Marketing Donut offers advice on all aspects of marketing and sales, including strategy, customer care, advertising and PR.
Start up Donut followed in summer 2009. It covers all the basics a new start-up might needs to know, including business planning, tax and finance issues and how to take on employees.
The Law Donut came along in autumn 2009 to join the Donut family. It’s an invaluable source of information on business and employment law, from contracts to data protection, intellectual property and property law.
More recently, a complete personal law section has been added to offer advice that includes wills and probate, family law, personal injury and employment law for employees.
Tech Donut was launched in Autumn 2010. Originally named IT Donut, we’ve rebranded to reflect the wide range of advice it offers on business comms, hardware and software and online security. All you need to know about business technology without the jargon.
Tax Donut was launched in Autumn 2011. Small but perfectly formed, it covers everything a small business needs to know about tax planning, rates, thresholds and self-assessment, and much more.
Sectors Donut is the newest and largest Donut, launched in 2016. It details how to start up and run more than 200 different types of business, from running a hotel to becoming a tree surgeon. Specific issues around market research, legal regulations, pricing, revenue streams, costs and staffing issues are explained for each sector.
